High temperature stretching is easier than low temperature stretching to make the film thinner.
In the transverse stretching direction of the film, in the area at the same distance from the edge, the pore size of the film stretched at high temperature is generally larger; at the same stretching temperature, the pore size in the area closer to the edge of the film is also generally larger than middle area.
The size of the film pores corresponds to the thickness of the film. In areas where the film thickness is small, the pores will be larger due to the larger fiber elongation, and vice versa.
PTFE waterproof and breathable membrane has excellent breathability, corrosion resistance, aging resistance, high temperature resistance and other properties.
According to the usage requirements, the pore diameter can be between 0.1-10um, the thickness can be between 2-100um, the porosity can reach 50%–80%, and there are up to hundreds of millions of micropores per square centimeter.
